All I Can Be Is Me | Fractal Fox Parallax
Unique is Hard, Be You
Unique and different is the next generation of beautiful. Being the best is great, it means you’re number one. But being unique is greater, because you’re the only one.
The more you are like yourself, the less you are like anyone else, which makes you unique.
Being unique is a lifelong process. It’s difficult to be fresh and new all the time but it’s the only way to be.
Being unique with your work is never easy. Often, by the time culture catches up with you, there are only a few people who notice.
We can be inspired and borrow ideas and our work will probably have been seen somewhere in someone else’s canvas, so all we can be is us. All I can be is me.
From the very beginning you are being told to compare yourself with others.
This is the greatest disease because it is like a cancer that goes on destroying your very soul. Each individual is unique, and comparison is not possible.
Be unique by being you because there is only one you.
I’m ever reaching and striving to be a new me to satisfy my need to be creative, but my ideas are always out done by another person.
All I can really try to be is me, me and me because no one can be me.
In the Parallax
My latest approach being different, being unique and being me is introducing parallax to my unique friend Carly’s photo. She is no stranger to being unique as her entire existence is art.
To achieve this approach, I create three layers of images to create depth, effect and foreground. I combine these images and add a camera to zoom in and out to add motion.
This technique is called the Parallax Effect, but it is nothing new and has been around for a long time in various forms.
What makes it different and fresh comes from the fresh ideas of talented artists. I’m not saying my work is amazing or anything, I’m just saying my work reflects my passion to create.
I am a strong believer in being different, being impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary.
Whatever ideas and tools we borrow create a unique experience, it is all that matters as long as you’re doing you.
